January 2020 is a time of transition for Moose Jaw Baptist Church as we celebrate the long-time, faithful ministry of our pastor, Roger Foust and his wife, Ruth. As we reluctantly allow them to walk forward into their years of retirement, we set our eyes on the plan God has in store for our church family in the months and years to come.

Senior Pastor from 1982 to 2019

Roger Foust (RETIRED)

In 1982, Roger Foust came to Moose Jaw with his young family and planted Moose Jaw Baptist Church through Continental Baptist Missions. While many things have changed in Moose Jaw during these last four decades, Pastor Foust has continued to minister to the city through the work of Moose Jaw Baptist. He has a passion for this city and all its residents.

Above all, Pastor Foust has a passion for God and His Word. The truths of God found in His Word are often referred to as doctrine. While many pastors attempt to avoid them, Pastor Foust teaches that it really does make a difference what you believe and that we must always go to the Bible to properly understand God, life, and even ourselves.

With wife, Ruth, enjoying their retirement

When Pastor Foust is not fulfilling his pastoral duties, he can usually be found attempting to get that perfect nature photo, taking in a Warriors game with his wife – Ruth, or just staring into the night sky in awe of God’s handiwork.

In the end of 2019, Pastor Foust officially retired as pastor of Moose Jaw Baptist Church.  Please pray for the church as we are in a transition stage.  Thank you, Pastor, for all you’ve done for the glory of God here in Moose Jaw!
